Statement Showroom for Global Furniture Fabric Company

Gabriel Group has evolved from its roots in Aalborg, Denmark, in 1851, to become a global furniture fabric company and one-stop specialist, providing a full palette of solutions and services for the international furniture industry.

When Gabriel Group acquired our client Screen Solutions, they didn’t have their own London showroom and initially shared the space WB&A had acquired for Screen Solutions on Gee Street. With the business established in this very cost-effective location, Gabriel came to us to acquire a statement showroom from which to continue their growth.

An extensive search and complex negotiations followed to acquire Cornwell House at 21 Clerkenwell Green, which curves round to Clerkenwell Road. Savings of in excess of £150,000 were achieved, together with a substantial capital contribution towards bringing the space, which was acquired in shell and core condition, to Cat A standard.

A stylish fit-out was undertaken, which makes excellent use of this light and bright space, with bespoke storage and the most exciting staircase in Clerkenwell.

The showroom formally opened during Clerkenwell Design Week in 2023 and later works by Islington Council to pedestrianise Clerkenwell Green have made this space even more attractive.
